Debbie and Philip are a husband and wife team, after the arrival of their own dog
Tilly, they soon recognised the need for a reliable and trustworthy dog walking and pet sitting service in the local area. Motivated by their love of animals together they established Dogs 4 Walks in 2006 and now have a loyal clientele, that not only trust them with their beloved pets but also their homes.

 Philip is originally from Switzerland and  grew up with German Shepherds, assisting his father in training their dogs for the Swiss Mountain Search and Rescue Team.  Philip is now an active member of the Berkshire Search and Rescue Team and enjoys working with other dog handlers learning new skills.

  Dogs and their welfare have always played an important part in his life. Philip was lucky enough to experience six months of dog sleighing in Canada, not only did he have to cope with the extreme cold weather conditions, he quickly learnt how to look after his team of working dogs, I'm sure if you ask him about it, he would be happy to talk to you for hours....!

"We both have years of experience looking after animals, we understand what it is like to have a puppy to an elderly dog and how much love and affection they give to us, I think it's only right that we give it back to them , making sure that they live a happy and full life. Every dog should be walked at least once a day preferably twice a day, not only do they get the exercise that they need but also the enjoyment of being out and about meeting other dogs and people. 

We both believe getting any animal is a huge commitment, it's just like having Children. We also understand how difficult it is to go on holiday or even away for the weekend , as part of our service we can look after your cat or smaller animals in their own home where they feel happy and safe, which not takes away the stress for them but also from you." 

 

  Debbie has worked closely with animals and has experience working as a veterinary nurse and in a cattery.  Growing up Debbie always wanted to work with animals, having parents who bred Cavalier King Charles spaniels, 4 of which were family pets, along with a house full of cats, budgies and rabbits has given her a balance of knowledge and understanding of all family pets! Now with a family of her own and an ever growing collection of animals, she is passionate about the wellbeing and happiness of all animals always maintaining high standard of  pet care.
